Our Curriculum Intent
The History Department will bring out the best by instilling a sense of curiosity in students so they question the world they live in and gain a richer understanding of different cultures, societies and their values. We aim to create the very best historians by engaging and enthusing students; bringing the past to life through developing key historical skills such as significance, causation and evaluating evidence. This will then support students with their development into global citizens with an awareness of history’s impact on and relevance to the modern world. Students will emerge confident in their ability to apply historical knowledge and skills to their understanding of their own place in society and wider community.
